Best ever qualifying for Laverty at Cadwell Park!
John Laverty continued with his sparkling form at the challenging
Cadwell Park, taking his best ever British Superbike qualifying position.
Setting a time of 1.28.0 Laverty claimed P2 in the final qualifying three
session for the remaining ten riders. Race 1, John got away ok, and
settled into 5th place on lap 1. John stayed in 5th place until a mistake
saw him run off the track and re-join in P10 battling hard to catch Sylvain
Guintoli but just missing out by 0.4 of a second in 9th place. Race 2, a
much better start saw John take P2 into the first corner only to be run
wide by Leon Camier. John settled down and started to catch the
leading group before the safety car was deployed for another incident. After a hard race John came home in 6th place only to be promoted to 5th due to Camier being excluded from the final results. Once again a fabulous weekend for the Northern Irishman showing just what he and the team are capable of.

Tristan Palmer was keen to put Brands Hatch firmly behind him and set the 5th fastest time during free practice one. Qualifying in 15th place Tristan was confident of top ten results, Race one saw Tristan well within the top 15 but a lack of grip saw Tristan drop back to finish in 18th. Race two and a change of rear tyre compound worked well with Tristan lapping with much more consistency and bettering his best race one time, finally coming home in 12th place.

Superstock 1000cc James Hillier qualified an impressive 10th just 0.1 seconds off P5. A poor start saw James down in 13th place. Unfortunately his race came to a premature end when James was caught out by the notorious mountain section of the track, luckily James was not injured and will bounce
back for Croft.

Superstock 600cc Luke Stapleford came to Cadwell Park full of confidence after a recent test there, set-up problems during qualifying meant he would start from P11 but a hard charging Luke who bettered his qualifying time in the race by 1 second came home in 8th place. This now takes Luke to 8th in the overall championship standings.
